So, this is a blog. I have never been one for mass sharing of my life. I don't post much on Facebook, although I am guilty of spending way too much time just surfing it, I don't have a twitter, and I most certainly have never had a blog...until now. As many of you know I will be leaving this June for Panama to serve as an Environmental Health Volunteer with the Peace Corps. This blog will be an attempt to keep people that may want to know about the happenings of my adventures in Panama satiated, and of course a way for me to share my experiences with friends and family back home.
A few words of caution on this blog though.
1. I am an engineer. In no way does this make me eloquent. Sometimes I try, but don't come here expecting to hear Shakespeare. You may be disappointed.
2. This is a casual blog. I will inevitably make spelling and grammar mistakes. I apologize in advance (or not in advance if I have already made one I suppose), but I do not plan on sweating the details of a blog that I intend to maintain while living in rural Panama without modern conveniences.
3. I will try to keep this as up-to-date as possible, but again...no modern conveniences means no access to internet is a HUGE possibility if not entirely assured.
Well, there you have it. My first blog post. With any luck many more blog posts will follow, and I hope those that read it may find something insightful from my ramblings.
